i look forward to the weekends, but then i sit around, and don't get a lot done. but, today i did laundry, and washed my wallet. ruined my lotto tickets, hope i didn't win.

seems i am averaging 1 showing per day of my home, but batting a big fat zero on offers. i know the right buyer is out there, and will find their new home soon.

Now that the values are beginning to raise, I have deceided to offer my home for sale.

Temps were high today. I woke up early, and went to Homedepot and picked up blacktop driveway sealer. I now have a nice crisp clean black blaktop drive. I spend 3 days filling the cracks and patching a few holes. I think I turned out very nice.

So, I learned more about my lawn sprinkler system. I found that I didn't know where a sprinkler head was, and as I was digging, POP, I broke it off. Everything is repaired now, and I added a small drip line off the new head so I can water a new plant I want to add in the narrow part of my yard.

The week is going by fast, and another weekend is upon me.

It's turned cooler the past 2 days. Chance of rain. Oh no, I am not ready for the winter rains.... I do like my dry summers !

I just enjoy working in the yard, so I went to Home Depot (homo depot) ha ha... and bought some more plants. The weather is great out today, so I am going out to enjoy it.

I think I will work in my yard today. Some plants (the ones that the nursery said were easy to grow) died, and I need to replace them. It's been hot and dry, and I think I also need to replace most of the nozzels on the sprinkler system. I changed from watering every other day, to watering every day. I hope that helps.

It's spring for sure.... I planted a lot of new flowers and pulled weeds, and cleaned up the garage, and cut the grass. O what fun I am having....

Over the weekend we invited some friends for Easter, so we had to clean up the house. It took all day Saturday, and most of the morning on Sunday, but we did it, the house was much cleaner, and looked pretty good.

They brought some wine, it was good, but I think that is why I am having a headache today. I shouldn't drink wine, I am not good at it.

I am still happy with my move. Much higher payments, but it's a nice home in a GREAT neighborhood.

What a weekend. Busy, busy, busy...

I spent most of yesterday painting the ceiling of my living room. It's now gold with black beams. Painting the beams, and keeping the black paint off the gold ceiling was difficult. Well, actually it was impossible since I was the painter. I guess I will have to do a little touch up. Peter painted 2 of the walls after I finished the ceiling. The walls are going to be 2 shades of red. So far, it looks really nice. I found it very relaxing doing that painting yesterday, I guess because I was home alone, and could work at my own pace, no one to distract me.

Today my arms and legs are tired. Going up and down the ladder, and painting above my head all day is not something I would want to do everyday.

Now I need to think about what project I want to do next. I think that painting gets the most improvement for the least cost. I like that. So, the bedroom may be my next project. I am thinking about a gold or yellow on 2 walls, and a light blue on the other 2 walls. The ceiling can stay white.... Ceilings are too much work.

I did a lot of home work this weekend. I mean I worked on my home :) I planted flowers, cut the grass, put in wood chips, and I started putting up a Picket Fence.

I hope the fence will keep out the neighborhood dogs. I have a nice green front lawn, and it seems to be an attractive place for dogs to go poo. YUK! I don't have a dog, and that is one of the reasons. I don't want to clean up poo.

I have been getting along very good with my boyfriend. He helped me with all of the yard work. As a rule, I don't work well with others, I like things done "my way" but we survived.

It's hard to just touch up some paint, or fix a leaking faucet. With older homes, once you touch anything, everything within a few feet seems to become part of the project.

I guess it's never as cheap as you want it to be, unless you want it to look cheap. A simple paint job has expanded into new molding, and a tub surround unit. It does look better, but the time and expense are way over budget.

My bathroom is now 2 nice shades of green, and it looks 100% better.

So, how was my weekend? It was busy.
